A 10-year-old Surbiton boy whose uncle has prostate cancer has raised £103 to help research.
Joe Weighill, who attends St Matthew’s Primary School, held a garage sale of toys, household equipment and clothes on Saturday, September 4.
His family said it was not the first time he had raised money for charity. Last year Joe, who suffers from dispraxia, raised £85 for the British Heart Foundation in memory of his Auntie Brenda.
He also raised £85 for the Fulham Autistic Football Team, of which he and his younger brother Connor, who has high functioning autism, are members.
His family said they were very proud of him, and the fact he was so caring of others.
