Elmbridge Museum presents a new exhibition exploring religious belief and its everlasting effect on the borough.
Entitled Devotion: Belief in a Changing Borough, the exhibition charts the religious journey of Elmbridge from past to present.
Councillor Jan Fuller, portfolio holder for leisure and cultural services said: “Faith touches us all personally, and to consider its role in community life is absorbingly relevant. This exhibition reveals faiths you may never have heard of, and uncovers Elmbridge’s eventful, religious past. Most enlightening.”
The exhibition also addresses the increasingly diverse religious beliefs of Elmbridge today. Judaism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism and a host of other forms of religion now flourish harmoniously in the borough.
The exhibition runs from September 25 to January 12, 2011.
