Weybridge students have impressed Dragons’ Den judges with business ideas.
The A-level students of Brooklands College, Weybridge, were introduced to the new sixth form centre with a workshop akin to the popular BBC series.
Working to a tight deadline, the students developed their own businesses before presenting them to a panel of judges within 24 hours.
The winning team, UR’ Shoes, designed an online shoe business, which allowed purchasers to customise shoes to their own design using a range of product add-ons.
Judges were extremely impressed with all the groups, especially the marketing and financial strategies of UR’ Shoes.
Christine Ricketts, head of the new sixth form A-level centre said: “Our new A-level students certainly demonstrated that they are not afraid of working hard as a team and were skilful in their approach to this task.”
Brooklands College still has places available this year, so it is not too late to consider if you have left school after GCSEs. Call 01932 797797 for more information.
