New bikes have been donated to Kingston police’s Safer Transport Team. The donation comes from London United, one of the capital’s biggest bus operators.
Malcolm Claridge from London United said: “We are happy to have contributed towards these new bicycles for the Safer Transport Team. Hoping they will cement our already good working relationship.”
The bikes will be invaluable in assisting the Safer Transport Team’s daily patrols of Kingston, police said.
Inspector Iain Lewis, from Kingston’s Safer Transport Team, said: “I would like to thank London United for the kind donation they have made. Having these cycles will give my officers the chance to use a variety of patrol methods to deliver high visibility policing in Kingston.”
