Cornerstone the Church will host Compassion Sunday on Sunday, September 26.
Weybridge organisation Compassion International is committed to the spiritual, economic, social and physical development of children living in poverty in 26 countries.
Pastor Chris Demetriou said: “Cornerstone has been supporting the work of Compassion for several years now.
“The ripple effect of Compassion’s work throughout each child’s environment transforms communities in culturally relevant and uplifting ways towards a brighter future.”
The event will raise awareness and includes film footage and literature supporting the work Compassion does with thousands of children across the world.
During the morning service there will be activities for children with the Cornerstone mascot, Godfrey the Bear.
Cornerstone the Church meets in Sandown Park, Esher, at 10.30am and 6pm. For more details visit cornerstonethechurch.com or call 01372 450045.
