Would you allow me to thank an electrical shop for outstanding service? And to recommend it to others should they need an honest trader?
On August 28 (my birthday), my washing machine started to make the most terrible noise. I tried for more than half-an-hour to get it going but, as a disabled person, and with a load of washing inside, I was desperate to solve my problem.
I rang Coopers of Sheen at 1.20pm. As they took a long time to answer I asked if they were busy. I was told they were very busy.
I asked them if I paid for a machine now, would they be able to deliver it that day? They agreed, so I paid £315 over the telephone.
At 3pm, two men arrived at my 10th-floor flat with my new machine. One of them walked in to my kitchen, sat on the floor and took the front off my old machine. I did not have the strength to do this.
They poked around and water came out of my machine and then used six hair pins and put some things together. My old machine started to work.
I offered to pay them a service fee but they refused and telephoned their manager. They handed me the telephone and told me I would receive a full refund. The manager was very polite and gave me a full refund, refusing any money, saying: "We are an honest shop."
They took the new machine away.
Now, would any of the supermarkets or large stores give such wonderful service?
I am so grateful to them. I would like to repay them and let the public know of such kindness.
