A brawl which broke out in a posh wine bar last weekend resulted in a man being arrested for grievous bodily harm.

It is understood the incident started inside Rumours Wine Bar, in Central Road, Worcester Park, on Friday (September 10) and then continued out on the pavement.

A police spokesman confirmed that a 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH after a 55-year-old man suffered injuries to his head and shoulder.

The alleged attacker has been bailed to return to Sutton police station.

A spokesman for London Ambulance Service confirmed a man in his fifties was taken to hospital but has now been discharged.
