Croydon North MP Malcolm Wicks found himself cuddling Cameron in a surprise visit to Singapore.
The Labour politician visited his daughter Caroline and her husband Daniel the day after she gave birth to his new grandson, Cameron.
The MP, who was volunteering for charity on the Thai-Burma border, said: "The baby was not due for a week or so but I had an instinct it might want to arrive early to coincide with my brief visit to Singapore.
"The name Cameron floored me for a few minutes, but he is a great little chap and a wonderful complement to his 19-month-old twin sisters."
