As he ran the 26.2 mile London Marathon in a giant rhino costume last year, Ewell fundraiser Chris Green said to himself: “Never again”.
But the 35-year-old has donned the massive suit again to prepare for another charity adventure in aid of the endangered species.
And residents may get a glimpse of the rhino in action as he trains for this year’s New York Marathon around the streets of Epsom.
The sales rep, who has visited Africa and seen the magnificent animals in the wild, urged people to sponsor him in his 14th marathon on November 7 and help the Save The Rhino charity.
Mr Green, of Kingston Road, Ewell, said: “I love to run and having the opportunity to run in the rhino costume is a huge honor. The fellow runners encourage you, the crowds cheer, the children laugh and want to meet you and the whole experience is unforgettable.
“There were moments in the London Marathon when I thought never again but every time something and someone spurs you on and here I am ready for the next rhino adventure.”
