Different faiths will be celebrated in a week-long event to acknowledge diversity within the borough.
As part of London’s week of peace, Lambeth Council has organised a series of activities, which begin on Saturday.
The celebrations kick off with a community event for cyclists and skateboarders at Stockwell skate park.
The opening weekend will also see an inter-faith picnic in Windrush Square from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, a sponsored bike ride by the Tulse Hill safer neighbourhood team from Lambeth to Brighton and a Voices of Youth event at the South London National Centre in Bernay’s Grove.
Lambeth Council’s cabinet member for communities, Councillor Rachel Heywood, said: “The really important thing to remember about this year’s events is that we want people to do more than just attend one of our events.
“The week is about raising awareness of how much good people can do if they sign up to the Give Back initiative.”
