Lambeth residents of all ages are being encouraged to limber up for the borough’s sports festival.
Activate takes place in Kennington Park this weekend.
The free event gives people the opportunity to try out more than 25 Olympic and Paralympic sports, including tennis, rowing, cycling, martial arts and athletics.
Sports clubs will also be on hand to offer training and advice.
Lambeth Council’s cabinet member for culture, sport and the 2012 Games, Councillor Florence Nosegbe, said: “There is a wealth of sporting opportunity out there, and the idea of Activate is to help and encourage people find the right sport or exercise class for them, whether they are interested in playing competitively or simply just want advice on how to lead a healthy lifestyle.
“It’s never too late to learn something new, and all ages and abilities are encouraged.”
