Dog owners were invited to an event to promoting responsible dog ownership last month.
Roundshaw Estate residents were invited to the free event which aimed to reduce dog-related problems, including street fouling, anti-social or aggressive behaviour and strays.
The awareness day at the Phoenix Centre in Wallington on September 5 offered advice and guidance as well as the offer of having your dog ‘chipped’ for only £10.
Councillor Simon Wales, executive member for communities, transport and the voluntary sector, said: “Owning a dog can be fun and bring plenty of joy, but there are also obviously responsibilities.
“The event aimed to give tips and advice to make sure your dog doesn’t have a detrimental effect on the community and that residents and pets are kept safe.”
The event was held in association with Beddington South SNT in association with Sutton Borough Dog Warden, RSPCA, Downlands Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club, Roundshaw Homes, Canine Hilton Kennels / Pet Psychologist, Animal Behavioural Management Teacher from Berkshire College of Agriculture and BlueCross.
