Parks and gardens in Sutton have won a crop of awards in the London in Bloom competition.
Sutton picked up a Silver Gilt award for the second year running at the awards ceremony at the Guildhall in the City of London.
The Oaks Park in Carshalton also won a Silver Gilt award in the best park/large garden category, while Benhill Allotments in Sutton came third in the best allotment site category.
London in Bloom judges visited the borough during Take Part, Take Pride week in July.
They visited Sutton’s three Green Flag award-winning parks – Cheam Park, Oaks Park and the Grove Park in Carshalton – as well as the Stanley Park allotments in Carshalton to see the award-winning lavender fields, the Sutton Ecology Centre and Benhill Allotments.
