Police made 34 arrests in their summer operation aimed at stamping out antisocial behaviour in and around Kingston’s transport hubs.
Officers were on operation Marcion every Friday and Saturday night from July until the end of August, and took the Surrey Comet and Zac Goldsmith MP out with them on July 17.
The operation covered everything from illegal taxi activity, to stolen Oyster cards and drunken behaviour.
A total of 34 arrests were made for incidents including theft, assault and being drunk and disorderly, while 119 stop and accounts or searches were carried out, with 21 cannabis detections.
Twelve cars were seized and 18 penalty notices for disorder were given out.
More than 100 alcoholic drinks were seized and disposed of from under age drinkers on the network.
Steve Burton, director of community safety, enforcement and policing, said: “Crime on public transport is low and continuing to fall, and thankfully you are very unlikely to become a victim of crime on a bus or on the Tube in the capital.
“Nevertheless, we are not complacent and these high visibility operations act as a deterrent to those who intend to commit crimes on and around the transport network or are involved in illegal cab activity.”
