A trio of crafty mothers are going for a hat-trick of charity events next month, and are asking residents for support.
Organisers Wendy Day, Niger Larsen and Ruth Barker are hosting their third Local Traders Fair on October 2 at Holy Cross Hall, Motspur Park, from 2pm to 5pm.
Mrs Day said: “With more than 150 paying visitors for each of the previous fairs, the occasion is anticipated by craftspeople, artists and small scale traders.
“It is a busy, sociable event which also raises money for charity. The success of the event depends fully on support from the local community.”
Among the stallholders will be Morden Rotary Club, who will sell leather bags, charity Christmas cards and Jam for Lesotho, with proceeds from the refreshment stall going to Macmillan Cancer Research.
The craft fair will also feature sales of homemade cakes and refreshments, glass jeweler, children’s books, and a whole range of other handicrafts.
