The headlines will read Blues played eight games, won eight games to maintain their 100% record so far this season.
They were, however, outplayed in the first half by a Merstham side mid way in the table who should have come in at half time at least two clear goals up.
As it was Blues striker Craig Watkins after only five minutes from six yards out missed the goal with a glancing header.
It was one of the only two real scoring opportunities the Blues created in the first half. Merstham on the other hand, created numerous opportunities to score but their finishing efforts were sadly lacking.
With the game into stoppage time in the first half the Blues snatched an opening goal. Eddie Smith beat two defenders before laying the ball off to Craig Watkins who ran all of 25 yards and then driving the ball into the net inside the far post.
It was a cruel end of a first half for a Merstham side who were by far the better side in the first half.
Into the second half and the Blues were finally looking menacing.
Within 10 minutes Eddie Smith and Tyron Smith had seen their efforts on the Merstham goal blocked on the goal line.
On 59 minutes a Tyron Smith free kick to the far side of the goal mouth was headed home by James Field to put the Blues 2-0 up.
They were now in control. Eddie Smith and then Tyron Smith both had shots outside the goal area inside two minutes which hit the cross bar.
Harry Ottaway for the home side should have then pulled a deserved goal back.
His first shot was brilliantly pushed onto the cross bar by Blues goal keeper Dave Smalley and bounced back to Ottaway only to see his second shot blocked on the line by Blues defender Nicky Humphrey.
The nail in the coffin came on 78 minutes.
James Field picked up a long through ball, evaded a tackle, ran all of 20 yards before clinically volleying the ball over an advancing goal keeper, into the net to make it 3-0.
It was far from over as Merstham surged back looking for a deserved consolation goal.
Dave Smalley and then Chris Bourne blocked shots on the Blues goal line.
The game was summed up for Merstham with the game well into stoppage time.
Unmarked Merstham substitute David Smith was faced with an open goal but somehow from only six yards out sliced his shot well wide. The Blues meanwhile go marching on.
