Chipstead succumbed to a 2-1 away defeat to Walton Casuals on Saturday.
After falling behind on eight minutes, the visitors got back on level terms when Jason Thompson thumped home from the penalty spot.
As the game drifted towards full time, the Chips conceded one free kick too many and Martin Grant was unable to keep out a towering header. Chipstead will look to progress further in the FA Cup this Saturday when they travel to Needham Market in the second qualifying round.
Chipstead's next three games: Sept 25 Needham Market (FA Cup, a), 28 Whyteleafe (h), Oct 2 Godalming Town (FA Trophy, h).
