Three female police officers were guests of honour at a special women-only Eid celebration.
The committee of Idara-e-Jafferiya mosque, in Tooting, invited Police Sergeant Liz Symmonds, PCSO Martha Rackley and PCSO Linda Dibb from Graveney safer neighbourhood team to an Eid Milan party on Sunday.
Parveen Mirza, the ladies section organiser, welcomed the team and showed them around the mosque, which was transformed into a spectacular sight, with a stage for competitions and numerous stalls selling clothes, cosmetics, jewellery, food and cakes.
PS Symmonds said: “It is nice to be able to meet more of the members of the mosque and we enjoyed supporting the fundraising efforts particularly through the cake stalls.
“We look forward to continuing to work together in the forthcoming year.”
