The hours shoppers and residents have to pay to park in town centres across Elmbridge have been extended and the cost of buying a ticket increased.
The decision was taken by Surrey and Elmbridge councillors on Monday at Surrey County Council's local committee meeting.
Charges for on street pay and display bays in Station Avenue and Mayfield Road in Walton have increased from £3.70 to £5 for four hours to attempt and drive shoppers into car parks.
In Feltham Avenue, Hurst Road and Riverbank charges have been extended from 8am to 8pm seven days a week.
Disabled parking bays in Walton High Street have been moved and a no stopping enforcement introduced into Wey Road in Weybridge.
The cost of implementing the new parking charges is £75,000.
Extended parking charge hours in East Molesey and Church Street and the High Street, Cobham are still subject to a public consultation.
