More than 5,000 revellers descended on St John’s Hill to take part in a street festival.
Stilt walkers, street entertainers and various musical acts took part in the event last Sunday.
Residents gathered to watch Councillor Stuart Thom, Councillor Vanessa Graham and Police Sergeant Frank Brennan being locked in village stocks before wet sponges were thrown at them.
Much of the entertainment centred around an ale festival at the Beehive pub, where belly dancers showed off their skills and the ever-popular raffle took place.
