Leatherhead Swimming Club plans to expand after securing a new sponsorship deal.

Estate agent Patrick Gardner & Co, which has offices in Ashtead and Leatherhead, will team up with the academy.

Senior partner Nigel Gibbons is a former competive swimmer.

David Vine, head coach of Leatherhead Swimming Club, said: “This partnership is an important step forward for the club, as it will enable the club to grow and provide top quality coaching to a larger number of children in the area.

“The swim academy is a new addition to the club this year and has proved highly successful as we can offer small classes and excellent tuition.

“With the support from Patrick Gardner & Co we will be able to expand the academy, as well as increase numbers in the competitive squads.”

Mr Gibbons added: “As a long-standing business in the area we are keen to support successful community based ventures.”
