Chart-topping singer-songwriter Mark Ronson rolled up his sleeves on Thursday to help volunteers in West Dulwich.
Music mad young people have been volunteering four hours of their time in exchange for exclusive tickets to the Orange RockCorps concert on September 24, at the Royal Albert Hall.
Volunteers at the New Leaf project, by West Dulwich station, were surprised when the music legend came along to help out.
Ronson said: “It will be nice to recognise at least 12 faces at the gig next Friday, and to know the work they’ve done in their community to get a ticket.”
Orange RockCorps communications manager Nicky Hobbs said: “Mark got really stuck in.
“He helped fill wheelbarrows and did quite a lot of shovelling, despite wearing his white winkle-picker shoes.”
