Junior Jenson Buttons took to the track at Streatham Kart Raceway for the latest stage of its championship for young drivers.
Twenty cadets and 34 junior drivers dreaming of becoming the next Lewis Hamilton are members of the centre’s academy in Streatham High Road.
They competed in the seventh round of its 10-round championship earlier this month.
Circuit manager Enver Meyer said: “For many drivers it’s the first stage of their racing career. They learn how to race here before going on to become semi-professional racing drivers or keep it as a hobby when they are older.”
Many top drivers raced on the Streatham track as youngsters. For more information visit playscape.co.uk.
