Murder squad detectives are hunting for a car which may have been involved in an arson attack which killed a Thornton Heath baby.
Detectives investigating the murder of 19-month-old Siariah Letang in a fire, in Camberwell, on Saturday September 18 are appealing for information about a car wanted in connection with the investigation.
The car is described as a right hand drive light blue Ford Escort index number R722 VOC.
Toddler Siariah Letang from Thornton Heath was killed after flames tore through her grandmother Brenda Ricketts’ first-floor maisonette in Camberwell on Saturday.
She died of carbon monoxide poisoning due to smoke inhalation, according to the results of a provisional post mortem examination carried out at Great Ormond Street Hospital earlier this week.
One man has been charged with murder, four attempted murders and arson in connection with this investigation. Another man and a woman have also been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Anyone with any information on this car or its whereabouts are asked to call the incident room on 020 8721 4868 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
