Met Police boss Jimmy Cooper won't let his men take their foot off the gas after opening the campaign with nine straight wins in all competitions.
The Blues extended their 100 per cent league record to seven matches with a 2-0 win over Walton & Hersham, having triumphed 3-0 at Merstham on Saturday.
“We're playing very well at the moment. We're scoring goals from everywhere and we now haven't conceded in 620 minutes. It's a case of so far so good,” said Cooper.
“There are some good teams in this league such as Leatherhead and Whitehawk, but if we can keep going I think we'll win this league. Promotion is what we’ve got to go for.”
Eddie Smith and Craig Watkins notched the goals on Tuesday - the latter after a burning 40-yard run - and the Met host Burgess Hill Town in the FA Cup on Saturday in fine form.
“A cup run would be nice. We're fortunate financially that we don't have to rely on one benefactor but all the money from the game will go back into the football club,” he added.
“The players are looking forward to it. It will take some pressure off the league, which is obviously our priority.
“We've got some good players here and everyone wants to play for a successful side.”
Met Police's next three games: Sept 25 Burgess Hill Town (FA Cup, h), 29 Godalming Town (h), Oct 2 Biggleswade Town (FA Trophy, h).
