Police are hunting a man who tried to drag a lone woman on to parkland as she walked in Clapham in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The 31-year-old woman was walking along The Avenue at about 1.35am on September 23, when a man wrapped his arms around her torso and tried to drag her on to Clapham Common.
However, she managed to wriggle free and escaped unharmed.
Police describe the man as black, aged about 30 years old, between 5ft 8in and 6ft and of athletic build. He was wearing a distinctive top, a white long sleeved jumper with a number of thin black horizontal lines in the area covering his ribcage and stomach.
Women in the area are being reminded to be aware of their personal safety when walking alone in the early hours of the morning.
