Crystal Palace were thumped 5-0 by Derby County at Pride Park, with James Vaughan sent off in the first half.
Palace were already losing to Alberio Bueno's goal after Claude Davis' mistake when Vaughan lunged in on John Brayford and was deservedly shown a straight red.
Kris Commons added the second before the break as Derby threatened to run riot with Shefki Kuqi also hitting the post.
Palace were better for a brief spell at the start of the second half but Bueno's thumping finish on 62 minutes snuffed out any hopes of a comeback.
Paul Green added a fourth from Robbie Savage's free kick and Kuqi a fifth when he intercepted Davis' poor back pass.
Palace have lost all four away league games this season and have yet to score while conceding 12 goals.
