Epsom & Ewell Colts FC have been presented with the FA Charter Standard award.

Les Edwards from the Surrey FA made the presentation at half-time of Fulham’s Premiership game against Wolves.

It was received by club chairman Mike Lovett, vice-chairman Graham Jelley, mini soccer manager Lewis Meade and fixtures secretary Kevin Topson as well as four young players from the club.

Jelley said: “This is a fanstastic achievement for our club and rewards everyone at Epsom & Ewell Colts for their hard work and dedication, in providing a safe environment for children of all ages to play football.

“I would also like to thank our sponsors as without them we would not be able to function so efficiently as a club.

“I especially would like to thank National Counties Building Society for their generous sponsorship which has not only purchased our winter tops but also helped towards the cost of running our website.”

Epsom & Ewell Colts were formed in 2006 as a partnership formed from three existing football clubs, Epsom & Ewell, West Ewell Wanderers and Banstead Rangers.
