A former Lambeth councillor arrested on suspicion of downloading child pornography from the internet is due to speak to police again on October 1.
Toren Smith resigned as a councillor for Tulse Hill after he was arrested on suspicion of downloading indecent images on May 24, weeks after he was re-elected for a fifth term.
Mr Smith's home in Camberwell was raided on May 21 by officers from the Met's specialist child abuse investigation team and his computer seized.
Officers will interview Mr Smith when he reports to a police station.
He may be charged with an offence as a result, bailed pending further police inquiries, or released without charge.
