George Burley insists it is too early to start panicking at Crystal Palace.

The Eagles crashed to their heaviest defeat in seven years on Saturday when they were thrashed 5-0 by Derby County, leaving them pointless and scoreless away from home prior to tonight's trip to Cardiff City.

Former Scotland manager Burley has called on supporters to stick together though and get behind the team ahead of the return of former manager Neil Warnock and his league-leading QPR side to Selhurst Park on Saturday.

"Nobody is panicking," said the 54 year-old.

"A number of things have gone against us so far and we have to stick together, not panic and be stronger away from home.

"It's a difficult league and we have got to hang in there, everyone realises it is going to be a fight to the end of the season.

"We looked through some of the goals we conceded on Saturday and learned from them.

"That's what it is about - trying to improve and not make the same mistakes as at the moment we are getting punished for individual errors.

"The things we are working on in training we have to take into the games, we cannot let them fly out of the window like we did on Saturday.

"We were too naive and the younger players started losing concentration.

"It's important we are 100 per cent focussed on the way we are going to be play."
