As a result of a recent trial in Liverpool, Sutton and Cheam Swimming Club's Brooke Tafazolli has been selected for the Great Britain Junior Girls Water Polo Squad. This squad will form the basis of the GB team that will compete in next years European Championships.
Brooke trains regularly with Sutton Head Coach Jim Walker and this swimming fitness provides her with a strong base for her Water Polo career. Brooke has played for the club's all conquering Ladies U21 side that has won the London League title for the past 3 years.
It was the turn of the Sutton and Cheam Junior squad to excel on Saturday (25th) when they travelled to Bracknell and came away victorious in a four club mini gala. The team took on Rushmoor Royals, hosts Bracknell SC as well as Henly SC winning a closely fought contest with a win in the last relay of the eveining.
