A children’s charity is set to benefit from a fundraising tax planning seminar at Fairfield Halls.
Purley-based Acumen Accounting will be helping small businesses untangle the tricky world of tax returns for an entry fee of £20, which will be donated to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
The two-hour event on October 8 will include a lively and humorous slideshow by Acumen director Chris Field, with a free bottle of wine for the correct answer to a mystery question.
Mr Field said: “For many business people, tax is the bane of their lives.
“They have to cope with income tax, corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, NI plus a few others and the rules and regulations can be a minefield.
“The decisions they make can also have a long-term affect on slow-burning taxes such as Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax.
“We will be showing people how to deal with the taxman, reduce their tax burden and take away all the stress and worry of coping with the tax system, freeing them up to focus on their businesses.”
Places can be booked by calling 020 8406 9425, or e-mailing info@acumen-accounting.co.uk.
