Young performers filled the streets of Leatherhead for a party to launch the Arts Alive Festival 2010.
Artists, actors and musicians - including the Mole Valley Silver Band and the Rampant Rooster Morris Dancers - entertained the crowds between 10am and 4pm on Saturday.
The 14th annual festival will see more than 100 dance, music, drama, arts and crafts events in Mole Valley throughout October.
Councillor Vivienne Michael, portfolio holder for wellbeing and customer service at Mole Valley Council, said: “It was wonderful to see such a variety of talented local arts groups performing in the town demonstrating that the arts are indeed alive in Mole Valley.”
