Police are applealing for witnesses to an incident they believe may be linked to the fatal shooting of a man in Gipsy Hill.

Ezra Mills, 23, was gunned down in Oakwood Drive, that runs through the Central Hill estate, shortly after 10pm on Sunday, March 21.

He died from a single shotgun wound to the torso.

Police are now seeking witnesses to an attack nearby on a 4X4 vehicle nearby in Gipsy Hill at about 8pm that evening.

A group of three of four men were seen attacking the vehicle, which was parked in the middle of the road, facing uphill towards Westow Hill.

After the incident the group made their way down the hill towards Gipsy Hill station.

The driver of the 4X4, described as a white man, about 5 ft 10 ins, with a dark complexion and short dark hair, chased them for a short time before returning to the vehicle and driving off.

Detective Inspector Jim Redmond, from Trident, said: "We would really like to jog people's memories to remember that Sunday night in March.

"This incident happened earlier in the evening and there would have been a few people around at the time who would have been unnerved by it.

"I am hoping that someone remembers this attack, or thinks that they may know the driver of the 4x4 vehicle as we would very much like to speak to this person.

"I would like to stress this person is wanted as a victim and a witness and would urge them to come forward and assist us."

Six men have been charged with the murder of Ezra Mills and are due to stand trial in November.
