Two men who were part of gang that raided a mobile phone shop in Esher in the run up to Christmas last year will be sentenced in October.
Rakime Johnson and Konstantin Kashencev, both 22 and from London, pleaded guilty at Guildford Crown Court to being part of the raid where £2,000-worth of iPhones were stolen from the Carphone Warehouse in the High Street.
The gang entered the shop at 5.30pm on December 10, ordering the staff to hand over the phones, while one of them went into the store room to take more items.
Shocked customers in the store then saw the men flee on foot towards Esher Green.
Johnson, who the court heard had been part of a gang that stole PlayStation 3 consoles from a Blockbuster video shop on December 22, admitted to the theft of the phones and Kashencev pleaded guilty to burglary.
The pair have been granted conditional bail and will be sentenced on Monday, October 18.
Surrey Police are still looking for other members of the gang and have asked anyone with information or who witnessed the raid to call 0845 1252222, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
