Police are investing a suspected double suicide in Putney.
The bodies of two women were found in a second floor flat in Norman Court, Lower Richmond Road, by officers, after they were called at 10.42am this morning.
About 15 firefighters also attended the scene amid reports of a chemical leak.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police (Met) said: "The deaths we believe to be caused by chemical poisoning."
A spokeswoman for the Met said they had not yet been identified and their ages were not known.
She said: “The bodies of two women were found at that address. We don’t know anything else about them now.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
The Met spokesman said the deaths were not being treated as suspicious.
Police officers remain at the scene.
