A man has been killed in an early hours car crash in Mitcham.
The victim died at about 4am this morning in Rowan Road, close to the junction with Meopham Road.
An ambulance and two support cars were sent to the the crash but the driver was found dead at the scene, a London Ambulance Service spokesman said.
No-one else was treated for injuries.
The RAC said Rowan Road was closed in both directions during rush hour because of the incident, causing delays in Mitcham and Streatham Vale, and police were directing traffic.
