Youngsters in Wandsworth are gearing up for National Schools Film Week (NSFW).
Pupils across the borough are being invited to the cinema free of charge as part of the free film festival, which aims to treat children to a cinematic experience that links to elements of the school curriculum.
Both Wandsworth Cineworld, in Southside Shopping Centre, and Putney Odeon, in Putney High Street, will be screening films during the week-long celebration.
Jane Bettles, a teacher at West Hill Primary School who took part in the festival last year, said: “NSFW allowed teachers to be able to link the curriculum to the films we saw. The sheer experience of the big screen made an impact on the children.”
This year’s festival begins in Cineworld, with a screening of Princess and the Frog on October 14.
