Bedford Road in Clapham is the most congested road in Britain, according to research carried out by Tom Tom.
According to the satellite navigation company, which has compiled its research over a two year period, this busy road in SW4 is bottle-necked for an average of 92 hours a week.
The information was published in the company's traffic manifesto on September 30 where it laid out plans to reduce traffic congestion and cut journey times by up to five per cent.
The second worst is Kingsway Tunnel Approach in Wirral congested for 90 hours, followed by the B5159 in Warburton, the Eastern Bypass Road in Oxford and the A30 in Basingstoke all blocked for an average of 86 hours.
