Met Police's run came to an end after a performance that left much to be desired in the FA Trophy in Saturday.
They were ultimately lucky not to go out at Imber Court as the visitors blew a golden chance in the closing stages.
After 11 successive victories this season, the Blues performance left a great deal to be desired from the moment Town scored from their first attack after 15 minutes.
A cross to the left was picked up by striker Paul Barnes who cut inside, shrugged off a couple of Blues challenges before driving the ball with his right foot just inside the far post.
The Blues lost Dan Gwyther to a nasty forehead injury after 23 minutes.
Two minutes later, the Blues saw four successive shots either cleared or blocked on the line, but it wasn't until the 43rd minute that they got a deserved equaliser.
Striker Craig Watkins playing up front headed a cross over the outstretched arms of keeper William Vinek and the ball went into the net via the underside of the bar.
But the Blues were grateful to a goalline clearance from keeper Dave Smalley to keep them on level terms at the break.
Met Police started the second half strongly. After a good run, Watkins rounded the keeper only for a defender cleared his shot off the line and around the post for a corner.
Craig Brown could have scored when the striker was stranded and only a defender on the goal line, but he fired his shot well over.
Sub Eddie Smith was lively in the closing stages with some great runs but the Blues were off target with five efforts in the closing stage.
And, with five minutes left, a rare Biggleswade attack saw striker Brett Donnelly left unmarked in front of goal but he pulled his shot wide with only the keeper to beat.
