Julian Speroni 7 – Kept Palace in the game as he so often does with a string of saves in the first half but his misjudgement at the end cost Palace a point.

Nathanial Clyne 7 – Had an excellent game against the on-fire Jamie Mackie and kept the danger man fairly quiet in the wide position, only when he drifted inside did he cause problems.

Paddy McCarthy 6 – Seems to be under the impression he can spray 40-passes around the pitch but he cannot, he kept over hitting them. Sometimes he is too enthusiastic for his own good.

Alex Marrow 9 – Superb game. He made a number of vital interceptions and tackles playing at centre back in the first half and then ran the show from midfield in the second, constantly asking for the ball. Got a standing ovation when he tracked back to stop a counter attack late on. Star man.

Julian Bennett 7 – His willingness to attack gives Palace an extra outlet down the left. He's useful at set pieces too, almost scoring at the end of the first half.

Edgar Davids 6 – It was good to see him start in midfield and he did a good job marking Adel Taarabt in the first half. Sadly, his home debut will be remembered for the woeful back-pass that gifted QPR their opening goal.

Owen Garvan 6 – Played some nice passes and some sloppy ones too. He has the makings of a very good player but needs to keep his concentration. Takes a good corner and free kick.

Andy Dorman 6 – Very unlucky not to score in the second minute and that would have changed things dramatically. A bit lightweight at times and a couple of his corners hit the first man.

Kieran Djilali 7 – Tormented his defender and tracked back brilliantly at times but went missing at others. Needs to add the final ball and decision making to his game and he'll be a great player.

Wilfried Zaha 8 – This boy is very special indeed and is Palace's big spark. His tricks helped bring about the equaliser but if there is one criticism of him it's that he needs to score more goals if he is going to play up front every game.

Pablo Counago 6 – Worked hard before going off at half time but was largely ineffectual as an attacking force. He also goes down too easily looking for the free kick.

Subs:

Kieron Cadogan (Couango, h-t) 7 – Got the goal his performances so far this season have deserved. He should maybe have closed Tommy Smith down more for the cross that led to the winning goal though.

Anthony Gardner (Davids, 56) 6 – Willing to help out the midfield and ask for the ball but clumsy at times in defence. Lost Helguson for the goal.

Calvin Andrew (Dorman, 79) 5 – Won the header to get the ball to Zaha for the goal but missed a couple of chances.

Not used: Lewis Price, Charlie Holness, Alassane N'Diaye, Stuart O'Keefe
