Four artists from Carshalton have teamed up with an award winning framers for an exhibition of work inspired by Carshalton and its surroundings.
Carshalton based artists Neal Vaughan, Helena Vaughan, John Stillman and Abel Kesteven will exhibit at the award winning Eagle Gallery in the historic High Street of Carshalton village.
The exhibition will run for an entire month from the 9th of October to the 6th of November and will consist of original works, limited edition signed prints, art cards and calendars.
The four artists involved often paint and exhibit together and are looking forward to showing their work in their hometown.
"We love Carshalton and it is a constant inspiration to us all," said Neal Vaughan.
The artists are all members of Croydon Art Society and have also exhibited with the prestigious Chelsea Art Society.
Of the group John Stillman is the most celebrated.
John has lived in Carshalton all his life and his Carshalton inspired work is exhibited in many top London galleries.
He is an elected member of the famous Wapping Group of Artists and his paintings are held in many private collections from the UK to America, France and Australia.
Neal and Helena Vaughan are popular members of the vibrant Carshalton arts scene, exhibiting in many local and national group shows.
Both are trained artists with a history of celebrating Carshalton and its surroundings through local arts festival workshops and events. Abel Kesteven is also an important member of the Carshalton arts scene as well as a successful illustrator.
Abel juggles his time and talents between his artwork and his teaching commitments with adults with learning difficulties.
He has a wide range of expressive and colourful work, including painting, prints and sculpture.
The Eagle Gallery has over 15 years of professional framing experience and has won 7 major framing awards for its design, creativity and workmanship.
This is more framing awards than any other framer in the country.
