A 24-year-old man has been arrested after police raided his home and found what is believed to be a stash of cannabis.
Cops from the Kenley Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) carried out the raid after a tip-off from local residents and also found drug-dealing equipment.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply, and was taken to a south London police station where he was bailed until late November.
The joint operation by officers from Kenley SNT, a drugs dog and Croydon Council Neighbourhood Enforcement Officer was carried out on Tuesday September 28, after a number of complaints were made about the address in Frensham Road, Kenley.
Local residents had reported a number of unsavoury goings on at the house, which prompted the SNT into carrying out further checks and obtaining a warrant to search the place.
Sergeant Tim Bull, from Kenley SNT said: “This is a great example of how local people can really help us to make a difference in their local neighbourhood. People should feel confident that if they do report a problem to us, then we will take action to try and resolve it.”
