The grandaughter of a WWII Royal Air Force officer has been chosen to feature in a forces pin-up calendar being launched on Thursday.
Caterham singer and partner of a colour sergeant in the Coldstream Guards, Sophie Maxwell, has been chosen as Miss July in the up coming Help For Heroes calendar.
Miss Maxwell, 22, decided to put herself forward for the calendar after the previous one raised £5,000 for the Help for Heroes charity.
To be chosen as one of the final 12 girls for the calendar Miss Maxwell had to get votes on the calendar’s website.
She was one of 200 people from across the globe who applied to be in the calender and was part of a group that was whittled down to just 30.
The calendar is being launched at the Cafe de Paris in London on Thursday.
The night will consist of a sit down dinner with entertainment from the legendary RAF Squadronnaires as well as a fashion show and a raffle.
