A motorcyclist was hospitalised after colliding with a car in Morden, despite the crash scene appearing to be deserted.
The accident in Morden Road, at about 10pm on Thursday, September 30, was apparently abandoned by the injured parties to the confusion of passing motorists.
Robert Hornsby, who was on his way home to Mitcham, said: "There was not a soul around. I drove carefully around what seemed to be the aftermath of an accident, just abandoned. There was a small red car with a smashed nearside window and a pizza delivery bike leaning against the back of it."
An ambulance service spokeswoman said a man in his 20s was treated at the scene and taken to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, as a precaution.
