The Drugbuster bus pulled into Weybridge town centre on Saturday, October 2, to offer people frank advice on substance abuse.

Police officers, representatives from Surrey Drugs Alcohol Team (DAAT) and other organisations were on board the bus to offer help and guidance to anyone who has concerns about the use of illegal drugs in the Surrey area.

The bus was joined by a Jeep Cherokee seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act from convicted drug dealer Sean Lynch, imprisoned for 18 years in 2008.

Emma Forget, divisional drugs liaison officer for North Surrey, said: “Surrey Police is committed in targeting the dealers who cause so much damage to people lives and communities as well as helping those directly affected by drugs.

“We want to make sure that those people in need of treatment for their drug addiction are given all the help and support that we can offer in order for them to turn their life around.

“Local people are the key in preventing and stopping drug dealing in Surrey as they can be the eyes and ears for the police. Anything suspicious should be reported to the police or anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers. Together we can reduce drug crime.”

If you have any information on the supply or sale of drugs the please contact Surrey Police on 0845 125 2222 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
