A leading comedy broadcaster has chosen Clapham as a venue for a special series of Christmas parties.
Comedy Central has joined forces with Clapham Junction venue Highlight to host comedy Christmas parties frmo the end of November.
The shows, called ‘Comedy Central Live at Highlight’, launch on November 27 and will run for five weeks at the Lavender Gardens venue.
To round off the Comedy Central Live run, the final show will be a New Year’s Eve special.
Each show will see three of the best stand up comics in the UK, plus a compere, entertain guests.
Comedians chosen to perform at the shows will be a combination of Comedy Central and Highlight’s favourite acts on the circuit today.
Bill Griffin, director of marketing for Comedy Central, said: "We are thrilled to stamp the Comedy Central seal of approval all over live comedy at highlight throughout the festive season. With a great line-up of acts, these will be nights not to miss."
As well as stand-up comedy, shows will also include a festive twist with a traditional roast - or vegetarian option - drinks and an after-show Christmas party.
