An award-winning film had its national TV premiere this week.
Romany Me, which stars Morden youth group Ambition, is based on writer Adele Gregory’s experiences of bullying and racism.
The film won the youth film competition at the Happy Soul festival, Wandsworth and Merton’s mental health-themed cultural celebration, in April.
It was broadcast at 5pm on Tuesday on the community channel – and will be repeated over the next few months.
Five children from Ambition will also appear in the pantomime Peter Pan in Wimbledon over the Christmas period.
