Three runners set off on an Eddie Izzard inspired run this morning.
Elizabeth Pencavel, Alexis Haycock-Hadden and Lily Howson are running more than 150 miles between London and Cardiff – arriving in Cardiff on October 15.
The three were training on Streatham Common ahead of their marathon feat, which will see them run more than 22 miles a day.
Joanne Lea was also due to take part but after a last minute injury is following the girls in the support van.
Speaking this afternoon she said: “They got off a little bit later than expected but it's going well so far.
“They are averaging a 10 minute mile at the moment which is very good.”
Like Izzard, the girls are running in aid of Sport Relief.
