A professor from the University for the Creative Arts at Epsom is to premiere a video installation at the Discovery Film Festival in Scotland.
The Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA) theatre will show India Shouting Match by George Barber from 16 October to 14 November 2010.
India Shouting Match is said to comprise duelling competitors screaming and shouting at each other whilst being pushed towards and pulled apart from one another - the louder they shout the more they will appear in the frame.
Mr Barber, who filmed the shouting matches in Bangalore, India, said: "India Shouting Match is an attempt to experiment with raw communication. "Nothing is quiet and everything is exaggerated. It is an apt metaphor for our culture today. Everybody everywhere is waving their arms and eyebrows about needlessly. If you fall silent, you will be out the frame and out of history."
The Discovery Film Festival is Scotland's International Film Festival for Young Audiences.
George Barber will give a talk about his work at the DCA Cinema on Friday 15 October, 11am.
